How do you store your glass rods? TOP
My husband created this large glass storage unit for me. We used pvc ranch fence railing. It has three square sections (each is about 1.75 inches) when you look at the end of the fence rail. Each square holds about 2 pounds of glass. We then cut the fence rail into twelve inch long segments and stacked them on top of each other. We were able to find the PVC fence rail at Lowe's.
Do you teach? TOP
Weekly I find at least one email asking me, "Do you teach?". In my previous career I was a school teacher for fifteen years. I loved teaching! It was my passion....until I encountered melting glass. I find myself missing teaching and feel it is now time to meld my two passions...teaching and glass. Unfortunately, I am not equipped to teach classes in my current location.
However, I would love to come and teach in a lampwork studio in your area or in your home studio.
If you are interested in having me teach a class in your area and know of a local studio, please feel free to email me their contact information and I will see what we can schedule.
The other option is private lessons in your home studio. We can work out the details together. I would be willing to teach up to three people in your studio setting.
My fees are $300 per instructional day. As well as expenses for travel, meals, and lodging.
For private lessons, I can teach from beginning, intermediate, or advanced beadmaking. My repertoire includes sculptural, organics, murrini, encasing, florals, dots, hollow fish, frogs, lizards, aquarium focals, faceted beads, holiday theme beads, reactions with metals and enamels, twisties, latticino, etc. Please contact me for more information. My beads are lighter/darker than what is pictured? TOP
Sometimes beads may arrive lighter or darker than the picture that you viewed on my website. There are two reason why this may happen. The first is that I photograph my beads either in direct sunlight or under studio lights. Lastly, depending on your monitor settings, the photographs may appear lighter or darker than the actual item. Do you make jewelry with your beads? TOP
If you would like to have jewelry created please feel free to contact me with your request and email you a price quote. I have created necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and pendants in the past. Do you accept custom work? TOP
